WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) is an open international
standard for application layer network communications in a
wireless communication environment. WAP was designed to show
internet-contents on wireless clients, like mobile phones, and
to let devices and service systems that use WAP to be able to
interoperate.
A WAP browser provides all of the basic services of a computer
based web browser but simplified to operate within the
restrictions of a mobile phone, such as its smaller view screen.
WML (Wireless Markup Language) is the language used to create
pages to be displayed in a WAP browser.
PayWap.com is envisioned to become a payment portal for wireless
devices. |
